Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup pear puree
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, pear puree, garlic, brown sugar, sesame oil, and black pepper to make the marinade.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, making sure it is well coated. Let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Heat a stovetop grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and sliced onions, and cook for 3-4 minutes until the beef is cooked through.
  4. Sprinkle with chopped green onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
