Ingredients
- 500g fresh paua (abalone)
- 200g prawns, peeled and deveined
- 200g squid, cleaned and sliced into rings
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 thumb-sized ginger, julienned
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the paua by removing the gut and membrane, then slice into thin pieces.
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large pan over high heat.
- Stir-fry the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Add the paua, prawns, and squid, and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the bell peppers and onion, and continue stir-frying for another 2-3 minutes.
- Pour in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and fish sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Drizzle with sesame oil and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Stir-fry for another minute, then remove from heat.
- Serve the Kai Moana Whakarite hot with steamed rice or noodles.
