Kakake (solomon's Spicy Beef Curry)
Kakake is a traditional spicy beef curry from the Solomon Islands, known for its rich flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 1 kg beef, cubed
- 2 onions, chopped
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 can coconut milk
- 2 cups water
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat.
- Add onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Add beef, curry powder, and cayenne pepper. Cook until beef is browned.
- Pour in coconut milk and water. Season with salt.
- Simmer for 1 hour, or until beef is tender.
- Serve hot with rice or bread.
