Ingredients

  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 cup green peas
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, soaked and blended into a paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  3. Stir in the garam masala, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the sliced mushrooms and green peas. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour in the cashew nut paste and mix thoroughly. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Finally, add the heavy cream and simmer for a few minutes until the gravy thickens.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
