Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh tuna
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup mirin
  • 1/4 cup sake
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 4 cups cooked white rice

Instructions

  1. Cut the tuna into bite-sized cubes.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
  3. Add the tuna to the saucepan and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the tuna is just cooked through.
  4. Remove the tuna from the saucepan and set aside.
  5. Divide the rice among 4 bowls and top with the cooked tuna.
  6. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
