Kandu Kukulhu (maldivian Tuna Salad)

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, diced
  • 1 cucumber, diced
  • 1 green chili, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
  • 1/4 cup lime juice
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the drained tuna, chopped onion, diced tomatoes, diced cucumber, and chopped green chili.
  2. Add the fresh cilantro, mint leaves, and lime juice to the bowl.
  3. Gently toss the ingredients together until well combined.
  4. Season the salad with salt to taste.
  5. Refrigerate the salad for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow the flavors to meld together.
