Kangkung Tumis (stir-fried Water Spinach)

Ingredients

  • 300g water spinach (kangkung), washed and cut into 2-inch lengths
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the minced garlic and sliced red chilies, and stir-fry for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add the water spinach to the wok and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until wilted.
  4. Season with salt, sugar, and soy sauce, and continue to stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Transfer the kangkung tumis to a serving dish and serve hot.
