Kanpur Ki Makhan Malai (कानपुर की मक्खन मलाई)

Ingredients

  • 1 liter full-fat milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashews)
  • 1/4 cup fresh cream

Instructions

  1. Boil the milk in a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
  2. Once the milk is reduced to half, add sugar and cardamom powder. Stir well and cook for another 10-15 minutes.
  3. Add the chopped nuts and fresh cream, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and let it cool to room temperature.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
