Kanpur Ki Murg Makhani (कानपुर की मुर्ग़ मक्खनी)

Ingredients

  • 500g chicken, cut into pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces in yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt for 1 hour.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the marinated chicken. Cook until the chicken is tender and the yogurt is absorbed.
  3. In another pan, melt butter and add the tomato puree. Cook for 5 minutes.
  4. Add the cooked chicken to the tomato puree and mix well.
  5. Add garam masala and cream. Simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
