Ingredients
- 2 lbs beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup vinegar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix soy sauce, vinegar, brown sugar, garlic, black pepper, and chili flakes.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, making sure it is fully coated. Marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 175°F (80°C).
- Place the marinated beef slices on a wire rack set over a baking sheet to catch any drips.
- Bake the beef in the preheated oven for 4 hours, or until dry and chewy.
- Once done, let the beef jerky cool completely before storing in an airtight container.
