Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage, shredded
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 pound of kielbasa sausage, sliced
  • 6 cups of beef broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, sauté the onion and carrots until they start to soften.
  2. Add the cabbage and cook until it begins to wilt.
  3. Stir in the potatoes, kielbasa sausage, beef broth, and bay leaf.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, then bring the soup to a boil.
  5. Reduce the heat and let the soup simmer for about 1 hour, or until the vegetables are tender.
  6. Discard the bay leaf before serving.
