Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 green chilies, sliced
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a karahi or deep pan.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them crackle.
  3. Then, add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown.
  4. Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  5. Add chicken pieces and cook until they change color.
  6. Now, add chopped tomatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  7. Cover and cook on medium heat until the chicken is tender and the oil separates.
  8. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
