Kari Ayam (spicy Beef Stir-fry)

Ingredients

  • 500g beef, thinly sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 red chilies, sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 lemongrass stalk, bruised
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 cup coconut milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, garlic, red chilies, and ginger. Sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add beef slices and cook until browned.
  4. Stir in turmeric, coriander, and cumin powder.
  5. Pour in coconut milk and add lemongrass stalk. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
