Ingredients
- 6 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes in a large pot of salted water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and let cool.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth, then mix in the flour, eggs, and salt to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into 12 portions and shape each into a smooth ball.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Gently drop the potato dumplings into the boiling water and cook for 10 minutes.
- Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and roll them in the breadcrumbs.
- Serve the Kartoffelklöße hot as a side dish with your favorite gravy or sauce.
