Ingredients

  • 6 large potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix the sour cream, milk, melted butter, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased casserole dish.
  4. Pour half of the sour cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle half of the grated cheddar cheese on top.
  5. Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, sour cream mixture, and cheddar cheese.
  6. Cover the casserole dish with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
