Ingredients

  • 3 cups grated cassava
  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the grated cassava, grated coconut, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the melted butter, coconut milk, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients over the cassava mixture and stir until well combined.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 1 hour, or until the pone is golden brown and set in the middle.
  7. Allow the pone to cool before slicing and serving.
