Ingredients
- 2 cups buckwheat groats
- 4 cups water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
- Rinse the buckwheat groats under cold water.
- In a pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Add the rinsed buckwheat groats and salt to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the water is absorbed and the buckwheat is tender.
- Stir in the butter until melted.
- Remove from heat and let it sit, covered, for 5 minutes before serving.
