Kashmiri Chicken Kebab (कश्मीरी चिकन कबाब)

Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp mustard oil
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, turmeric powder, salt, and mustard oil.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and cook on a hot stovetop grill for 12-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred.
  4. Remove the kebabs from the grill, drizzle with lemon juice, and garnish with chopped coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot with mint chutney and naan or rice.
