Kashmiri Palak Paneer (कश्मीरी पालक पनीर)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups spinach, washed and chopped
  • 200g paneer, cubed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates.
  3. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well and cook for a few minutes.
  4. Add the chopped spinach and cook until it wilts.
  5. Add the cubed paneer and garam masala. Mix gently and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. कश्मीरी पालक पनीर (Kashmiri Palak Paneer) is ready to be served hot with roti or rice.
