Kashmiri Paneer Tikka (कश्मीरी पनीर टिक्का)
Kashmiri Paneer Tikka is a popular vegetarian dish from the beautiful region of Kashmir. It is a flavorful and aromatic dish that is perfect for special occasions and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 500g paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 cup thick yogurt
- 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
- 1 tsp Kashmiri red chili powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground fennel seeds
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground cardamom
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- Salt to taste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, cut into wedges
- 1 large bell pepper, cut into chunks
- Chaat masala for sprinkling
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, Kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, fennel seeds, cumin, turmeric, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, salt, and lemon juice to make the marinade.
- Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the marinated paneer, onion, and bell pepper. Cook for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the paneer and vegetables are charred and cooked through.
- Sprinkle chaat masala on the cooked paneer tikka and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with mint chutney and onion rings.
