Kebab Tareh (spiced Prawn Skewers)

Ingredients
- 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
- 1 red onion, cut into chunks
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp turmeric
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 skewers
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
- Add the prawns, onion, and bell pepper to the bowl and toss to coat with the spice mixture.
- Thread the prawns, onion, and bell pepper onto the skewers, alternating between each ingredient.
- Heat a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium-high heat.
- Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the prawns are pink and opaque.
- Remove from the grill and serve hot.
