Ingredients

  • 1 lb large prawns, peeled and deveined
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 skewers

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the olive oil, cumin, paprika, turmeric, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Add the prawns, onion, and bell pepper to the bowl and toss to coat with the spice mixture.
  3. Thread the prawns, onion, and bell pepper onto the skewers, alternating between each ingredient.
  4. Heat a grill pan or stovetop grill over medium-high heat.
  5. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the prawns are pink and opaque.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve hot.
