Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form the mixture into small meatballs.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and tomato paste. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
  4. Return the meatballs to the skillet, spooning the tomato sauce over them. Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  5. Once done, garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
