Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Mix well and form the mixture into small meatballs.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned on all sides. Remove the meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, and tomato paste. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
- Return the meatballs to the skillet, spooning the tomato sauce over them. Cover and simmer for 25-30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Once done, garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
