Kefta (moroccan Spiced Meatballs)
Kefta, also known as Moroccan spiced meatballs, is a flavorful and aromatic dish that is popular in Berber cuisine. These meatballs are packed with warm spices and are perfect for serving with couscous, rice, or in a pita sandwich.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, grated onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Shape the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter.
- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the meatballs. Cook for about 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- Once cooked, remove the meatballs from the skillet and serve hot.
