Ingredients
- 12 mozzarella cheese sticks
- 1 cup almond flour
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Marinara sauce for dipping (optional)
Instructions
- Cut the mozzarella cheese sticks in half to make 24 shorter sticks.
- In a shallow dish, mix the almond flour, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Dip each mozzarella stick into the beaten eggs, then coat with the almond flour mixture, and repeat for a double coating.
- Place the coated mozzarella sticks on a baking sheet and freeze for at least 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the mozzarella sticks until golden brown, about 1-2 minutes per side.
- Remove from the pan and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Serve hot with marinara sauce for dipping, if desired.
