Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup berbere spice mix
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, chopped onion, minced garlic, berbere spice mix, and salt. Mix well and form the mixture into meatballs.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the meatballs and brown on all sides.
  3. Once the meatballs are browned, add the beef broth, chopped tomatoes, and tomato paste to the pot. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
