Ingredients

  • 1 cup besan (gram flour)
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp ginger paste
  • 1 tsp green chili paste
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 8-10 corn tortillas
  • 1 cup salsa
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix besan, yogurt, turmeric, ginger paste, green chili paste, and salt to make a smooth batter.
  2. Pour the batter into a non-stick pan and cook over low heat, stirring continuously, until it thickens.
  3. Spread the mixture thinly on a greased surface and let it cool. Cut into strips.
  4. Roll the khandvi strips inside the corn tortillas to make tacos.
  5. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and sesame seeds. Once they splutter, pour the tempering over the khandvi tacos.
  6. Top with salsa and chopped cilantro before serving.
