Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups glutinous rice
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 ripe mangoes, peeled and sliced
  • Sesame seeds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the glutinous rice and soak it in water for 1 hour.
  2. After soaking, drain the rice and steam it for 30 minutes or until tender.
  3. In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, sugar, and salt. Cook over low heat until the sugar is dissolved.
  4. Place the steamed rice in a bowl and pour half of the coconut milk mixture over the rice. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  5. Peel and slice the mangoes.
  6. To serve, place a portion of the sticky rice on a plate, arrange the mango slices on the side, and drizzle with the remaining coconut milk mixture. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.
