Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt to make a marinade.
  2. Add the mutton pieces to the marinade and coat them well. Let it marinate for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the marinated mutton pieces and fry until they are crispy and golden brown.
  4. Remove the fried mutton from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve the Khashir Bhaja hot with rice or naan.
