Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 large potatoes, boiled and mashed
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 20 dumpling wrappers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, mashed potatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, ground coriander, ground cumin, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the lamb and potato mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Bring the edges of the wrapper together and twist to seal, creating a pleated, hat-like shape.
  4. Boil the dumplings in a large pot of salted water for about 10 minutes, until they float to the surface and the meat is cooked through.
  5. Remove the dumplings from the water and serve hot.
