Khinkali (spicy Lamb Dumplings)

Ingredients

  • 500g ground lamb
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste
  • 20 dumpling wrappers
  • Water for boiling

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground lamb, chopped onion, minced garlic, cayenne pepper, ground coriander, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the lamb mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, then fold and pleat the edges together to seal the dumpling.
  4. Boil the dumplings in a pot of water for about 8-10 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  5. Remove the dumplings from the water and serve hot.
