Ingredients

  • 500g smoked pork, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups chopped mustard greens
  • 1 cup sliced bamboo shoots
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4-5 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon mustard oil
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add the smoked pork cubes and cook until they are slightly browned.
  3. Stir in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  4. Add the sliced bamboo shoots and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Pour in enough water to cover the pork and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for 30-40 minutes until the pork is tender.
  6. Add the chopped mustard greens and green chilies. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  7. Adjust the seasoning and serve hot with steamed rice.
