Khorovats (armenian Lamb Chops)
Khorovats, also known as Armenian Lamb Chops, is a traditional Armenian dish that is perfect for grilling and enjoying with family and friends. The marinade infuses the lamb chops with incredible flavor, making them tender and juicy.
Ingredients
- 8 lamb chops
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, salt, and pepper to create the marinade.
- Place the lamb chops in a large resealable plastic bag and pour the marinade over them. Seal the bag and massage the marinade into the chops. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill for medium-high heat and lightly oil the grate.
- Remove the lamb chops from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the chops on the preheated grill until they are cooked to your desired doneness, about 6 minutes per side for medium-rare.
- Remove from the grill and let the chops rest for a few minutes before serving.
