Ingredients

  • 1 cup grated coconut
  • 1 cup rice flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. In a pan, bring water to a boil.
  2. Add grated coconut and salt to the boiling water.
  3. Gradually add rice flour while stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Cover and cook the mixture on low heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it forms a thick dough-like consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  6. Take small portions of the dough and shape them into small round dumplings.
  7. Steam the dumplings in a steamer for 15-20 minutes until they are cooked through.
  8. Once done, remove from the steamer and let them cool slightly before serving.
