Ingredients
- 4 cups mixed berries (such as strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries)
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 6 cups water
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the mixed berries, sugar, and 4 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce the heat and simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the remaining 2 cups of water until smooth.
- Pour the cornstarch mixture into the pot with the berries, stirring constantly until the kisel thickens, about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let the kisel cool for 10 minutes.
- Strain the kisel through a fine mesh sieve to remove the berry seeds and pulp.
- Pour the strained kisel into serving bowls or molds and refrigerate for at least 2 hours until set.
