Kiwi Delight (Pāmu Pāmu)
Pāmu Pāmu, also known as Kiwi Delight, is a traditional dessert from New Zealand that is loved for its creamy texture and delightful flavor.
Ingredients
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- 1/2 cup of sugar
- 1/4 cup of water
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup of cornstarch
- 1/4 cup of cold water
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, sugar, and 1/4 cup of water. Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar is dissolved.
- Once the mixture is hot, but not boiling, stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the cold water until smooth. Gradually whisk the cornstarch mixture into the cream mixture.
- Cook and stir until the mixture thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and pour into serving dishes. Refrigerate until set, about 2 hours.
