Kiwi Lamb and Mint Burger (Parāoa Whakarite)

Ingredients
- 500g ground lamb
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 burger buns
- Lettuce, tomato, and additional mint leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the ground lamb, chopped mint, red onion, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties.
- Heat a stovetop grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Cook the lamb patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes.
- Assemble the burgers with lettuce, tomato, and additional mint leaves.
