Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or lamb
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the ground meat, onion, garlic, paprika, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and water to form a smooth dough. Roll out the dough and cut it into small circles.
  3. Place a small amount of the meat mixture in the center of each dough circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
  4. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop the klepe into the boiling water and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
  5. While the klepe are cooking, mix the yogurt with chopped parsley and a pinch of salt.
  6. Once the klepe are cooked, remove them from the water and serve with the yogurt sauce drizzled on top.
