Kletski Krazy (Клецки)
Kletski, also known as Belarusian potato dumplings, are a traditional dish in Belarusian cuisine. They are simple to make and are often served with sour cream, butter, or fried onions.
Ingredients
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and diced
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- Water
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until tender, then drain and mash them.
- In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt. Mix well to form a dough.
- Divide the dough into small portions and roll each portion into a rope. Cut the rope into small pieces to form the dumplings.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Drop the dumplings into the boiling water and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Remove the cooked dumplings with a slotted spoon and serve hot with your choice of toppings.
