Knafeh Cheesecake (كنافة تشيز كيك)

Ingredients

  • 1 package of knafeh dough
  • 1 cup of unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup of ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup of cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 teaspoon of rose water
  • 1/4 cup of chopped pistachios
  • 1/4 cup of simple syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the knafeh dough according to the package instructions, then mix it with melted butter.
  3. Press the knafeh dough mixture into the bottom of a springform pan to form the crust.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, cream cheese, sugar, and rose water until smooth.
  5. Pour the cheesecake filling over the knafeh crust and spread it evenly.
  6. Bake the knafeh cheesecake in the preheated oven for 40-45 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown and the center is set.
