Ingredients

  • 250g noodle dumplings
  • 150g bacon, diced
  • 2 shallots, finely chopped
  • 4 slices of cheese bread
  • 1/4 cup grated Kachkéis (Luxembourgian cheese)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil the noodle dumplings according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, cook the diced bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon from the skillet and set aside, leaving the bacon fat in the skillet.
  3. Add the chopped shallots to the skillet and sauté until translucent.
  4. Add the cooked noodle dumplings to the skillet and toss to combine with the shallots and bacon fat. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Place the cheese bread slices on a baking sheet and sprinkle the grated Kachkéis on top. Broil in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve the noodle dumplings with the crispy bacon on top and the cheesy bread on the side.
