Ingredients
- 500g ground lamb
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons water
- Salt to taste
- Chopped fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground lamb, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, salt, pepper, breadcrumbs, and chopped parsley until well combined.
- Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each portion into a long, oval-shaped kofta. Thread the kofta onto skewers if desired.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook the kofta for 6-8 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and cooked through.
- While the kofta is cooking, prepare the tahini sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the tahini, lemon juice, water, and salt until smooth and creamy.
- Serve the spiced lamb kofta with the tahini sauce drizzled on top, and garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
