Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks

Instructions

  3. Add the yeast mixture, butter, and egg yolks to the dry ingredients. Mix until a dough forms.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape them into balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  7. Make an indentation in the center of each ball and fill it with your choice of fruit preserves or savory fillings.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the kolaches are golden brown.
  9. Let them cool before serving.
