Koli Barthad (coorgi Style Mutton Fry)

Ingredients

  • 500g mutton, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tomato, chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 2-3 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp Coorgi masala powder
  • 1/2 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tbsp oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Next, add the mutton pieces and cook until they turn brown.
  4. Stir in the tomatoes, turmeric powder, Coorgi masala powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add a little water, cover the pan, and simmer until the mutton is tender.
  6. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
