Koli Barthad (kodava Style Chicken Fry)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons Kodava masala powder
  • 2 sprigs of curry leaves
  • Salt to taste
  • 3 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken pieces with turmeric powder, salt, and Kodava masala powder. Let it sit for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Sauté until they turn golden brown.
  3. Add the ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Now, add the marinated chicken pieces and cook until they are half done.
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes and curry leaves. Cook until the chicken is tender and the masala is well coated.
  6. Once the chicken is cooked, remove from heat and serve hot.
