Koli Curry (coorgi Style Chicken Curry)

Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 2 tbsp Coorgi masala powder
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the chicken pieces and cook until they turn golden brown.
  3. Stir in the Coorgi masala powder, turmeric powder, and curry leaves.
  4. Pour in the tomato puree and cook for 10 minutes.
  5. Add coconut milk and simmer for another 15 minutes.
  6. Season with salt and serve hot with rice or roti.
