Korean Marinated Eggs
Korean marinated eggs are a delicious and easy-to-make snack or side dish that is packed with flavor. The eggs are marinated in a savory and slightly sweet sauce, resulting in a unique and tasty treat.
Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, place the eggs and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 7 minutes.
- While the eggs are cooking, prepare an ice bath in a large bowl. Once the eggs are done, transfer them to the ice bath and let them cool for 5 minutes.
- Peel the eggs and place them in a large resealable plastic bag.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, and green onion. Pour the marinade over the eggs in the bag, seal, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Once marinated, remove the eggs from the bag and slice in half. Serve and enjoy!
