Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger, grated
- 1/2 cup (120ml) soy sauce
- 1/2 cup (120ml) water
- 1/4 cup (60g) brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 green onions, chopped
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, water, brown sugar, and cornstarch. Set aside.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant.
- Pour the soy sauce mixture into the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
- Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Sprinkle with chopped green onions before serving.
