Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • Pineapple chunks (optional)

Instructions

  1. Coat the pork pieces in cornstarch, then dip them in the beaten eggs.
  2. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the pork pieces until they are golden and crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, combine the ketchup, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce. Cook until the sauce thickens.
  4. Add the bell pepper, onion, and pineapple chunks (if using) to the skillet. Cook until the vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Return the crispy pork pieces to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce.
  6. Serve the 탕수육 hot with steamed rice.
