Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup grated coconut
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 4-5 dried red chilies
  • 1 sprig curry leaves
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, dried red chilies, and curry leaves.
  2. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a few minutes.
  4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Add the chicken pieces and cook until the chicken is tender and the masala is well coated.
  6. Add grated coconut and cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  7. Remove from heat and serve hot.
