Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, granulated sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg to the flour mixture. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Gradually add the remaining 1/4 cup of flour while kneading the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a 12x18 inch rectangle.
- Spread softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly on top.
- Roll up the dough tightly from the long side and cut it into 12 equal pieces.
- Place the rolls on a greased baking sheet, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and bake the cinnamon rolls for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let the rolls cool slightly before serving.
